 Zejtun Corinthians booked a place in the final of the Second & Third Division Knock-Out Competition after beating Mellieha 1-0. The result came as a surprise to some even though Zejtun Corinthians for the third time running managed to beat a team from a higher division. The game that was characterised by strong winds and rain showers was played on Wednesday 10th February and kicked off after 11.00am. Despite the weather a large number of Zejtun Corinthians followers filled the Centenary stadium equipped with flags and other realia to support the team. People who are familiar with such games commented that rarely have they seen so many supporters at the centenary stadium, especially following a third division team. |

 Zejtun Corinthians are the only 3rd Div. team to reach the semi-finals of the Quick Keno 2nd and 3rd Division Knock-Out Competition, after beating 2nd Div team Lija Athletic in a spectacular game played two days after Christmas. Even though all supporters were optimistic, on paper it was Lija who were expected to win. However odds were turned and Zejtun Corinthians emerged as winners of the clash. |
